Donald Grassi

Donald Grassi, 86, of Croydon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 30, 1940, Donald was the son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Grassey.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California. He carried the values of service, dedication, and hard work throughout his life. Later in his early career, he transitioned into the technology sector working with computers and eventually became a Co-Owner of Sparkles Beer Store alongside his late wife, Gail Grassi. Donald was a man of many passions and diverse interests. He was a long-time runner who proudly ran the Boston Marathon. He also found great joy in wine making and hunting.

Donald was the loving father of Donald Grassey Jr. and his wife Michelle, and Christopher Grassi. He was the proud father-in-law of Norman Leland and was preceded in death by his beloved eldest daughter, Dawn Leland (nee Grassey). He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Sarah Joannidi, Bianca Mushroe, Robert Grassey, Daniel Grassey, and Ethan Leland, and two great grandchildren, Isla Mae and Olive June.

A private memorial service will be held by the family to honor Donald's life and legacy.
