Donato "Don" Lewis Foglia

Donato “Don” Lewis Foglia, age 80, passed away peacefully in Santa Rosa Beach, FL on May 26, 2020. Don was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and formerly of Phoenixville, PA. Born in 1939 in South Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Anthony and Jennie (nee Fortuna) Foglia. Don was a proud veteran of the US Navy and a microelectronics specialist for both GE and Xerox, focused on thin films circuitry. He was passionate about maintaining the traditions of his Italian immigrant father and Italian-American mother. Don was very happy to have been able to travel to Italy with his siblings and wife to spend time with his father's family. He spoke of this shortly before his death because it meant so much to him. Don loved to hunt in his younger years and fish in later years. He enjoyed reminiscing about the years he spent on a farm he owned in upstate New York. He moved from his beloved Philadelphia in 1993 to Santa Rosa Beach Florida to enjoy the weather and of course, the fishing. He spent nearly 30 years retired in a place that he loved with his wife Rosemary enjoying the weather, the food and the fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Don is survived by his spouse of 30 years, Rosemary Foglia (nee Gosroski); sister, Vilma Rodgers (nee Foglia) and her husband Edward; sons Donato Foglia and Matthew Foglia; stepchildren, Michael & Lorraine Schank, Thomas & Susan Schank, and Robert & Terri Schank. Preceded in death by a son, Christopher Anthony Foglia, brother George, sister Diane Quattrini (nee Foglia) and stepson Paul Schank. Funeral services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406.
