Doreen M. (Chapman) Smith

Doreen M. (Chapman) Smith passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 83. Mrs. Smith was a resident of E. Norriton, PA and was a retired secretary for Yarway Corporation in Blue Bell, PA. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Fairview Village. Doreen was born in Houston, TX on August 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Quincy and Pearlie (Whittington) Chapman. Surviving is her loving family including her husband, Charles E. "Ed" Smith; a step-daughter, Linda Blandford of Chantilly, VA; a step-grandson, Tim Blandford; two sisters, Doris Page of Dallas, TX and Billie Stowe and her husband, Thomas of Houston, TX; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Thomason. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Kim Guiser, Pastor.Her viewing will be Friday morning from 10 to 10:50am, at the funeral home.Interment in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
