Doris N. (Hastings) Benedetto

Doris N. (Hastings) Benedetto passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2012 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. She was 58. Mrs. Benedetto was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a HR Secretary for the Upper Merion Area School District. Doris was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Norristown, PA on October 16, 1953, she was a daughter of Doris N. (Bateman) Hastings of E. Norriton, PA and the late Charles Hastings. Surviving is her loving family including her mother; her husband of 23 years, Edward J. Benedetto; a son, Edward J. Benedetto, Jr. of King of Prussia, PA; two step-daughters, Sandra Ann Hall and her husband, Jeffrey, of West Chester, PA and Denise Ann Biren and her husband, Greg, of Mays Landing, NJ; five step-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Christopher, Nicole, Savana and Blake; a brother, Charles Hastings and his wife, Karen, of King of Prussia, PA; two sisters, Gayle Crymes and her husband, Leslie, of King of Prussia, PA and Carrie Stevens of Texas; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hastings.Doris' Prayer Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm.
