Doris B. (Barnett) Mason passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at her residence in Wayne, PA. She was 87. Born on February 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae (Ford) Barnett. She was the wife of the late John P. Mason, who died in 1997. Doris was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College (class of 1945), and went on to receive a Masters degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She went to work as the first Human Resource manager at the Philadelphia law firm of Dechert, Price and Rhodes, the same firm where her husband John later became a partner. Doris also worked for a number of years in the admissions office of Bryn Mawr College. She was a world traveler, and enjoyed entertaining, gardening, and the theatre. She was a regular contributor and volunteer with numerous charitable and cultural organizations, and was a proud member of the Cosmopolitan Club, and the Penn Club. Doris was best known in her later years as ""Nana"", a role which she especially relished. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Robert B. Mason and his wife, Maggie of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Susan M. Fitzgerald and her husband, Jim of Wayne, PA; and five grandchildren: Kelsey, Jamie, Annie, Eleanor and Jack. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris' memory to the Bryn Mawr College, 101 N.
