Doris Helen Mcnally

MC NALLY   Doris Helen (nee VanLenten) age 90, of Audubon, PA formerly of Birchrunville, PA, Avalon, NJ, Estero, FL and Willow Grove, PA passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2014.  For 67 years, Doris was the wife of the late Charles F. McNally, Jr.   Mother, mentor, and friend to Doris Brooks (Christopher), Janice Disque (preceded in death by Donald), Sharon Mathews (John), Therese Topel (Stuart), Charles the 3rd (Donna), Andrew (Pamela), Maureen Ballard (preceded in death by Steve), and Philip (Colleen).  Grandmother to Christopher Jr., Kimberly, Jaime, Jessica, Rachel, Kelsie, Jack, Tom, Madeline, Tessa, Luke, Holly, Katelin, and Shane.  Great-Grandmother to Taylor, Carter, Courtney, Abigail, Samuel, Gabriel, Malakai, and Clarity. Some of the life lessons she taught us were:  Nothing in life is perfect; There is good in every person; You can always make room for one more; If you don’t have something nice to say about someone, don’t say it; Always look at a glass as half-full; Love is patience.  Her life was filled with family togetherness, faith in God and laughter. Mom was proud to be a homemaker and loved to take care of her husband and family.  It gave Mom great joy to bake for us and her friends at Shannondell.  We could always count on a great dessert of Mom’s when we were together. On Monday, October 27, 2014, family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral mass at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 South Trooper Rd, Norristown, PA  19403.  Donations to this parish in Mom’s memory are deeply appreciated.
