Doris R. (Roberts) Thomas

Doris R. (nee Roberts) Thomas passed away peacefully on February 24, 2013 at Grandview Hospital in Sellersville, PA. She was 98. Mrs. Thomas was a former resident of Paoli, PA. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church of Valley Forge.Born in Boston, MA on June 13, 1914, she was a daughter of the late James F. and Edith P. (Peck) Roberts. She was the wife of the late Herbert C. Thomas, who died in 1993. Surviving is her loving family including 4 sons: Herbert C. Thomas and his wife, Cathy, of Shoreline, WA, Paul W. Thomas and his wife, Chandler, of Greenbay, WI, Richard W. Thomas of Midland, MI & David W. Thomas and his wife, Cecelia, of Melbourne, FL; 3 daughters: Carol E. Thomas of Devon, PA, Sharon E. Safford and her husband, Terry, of Swansea, IL & Deborah J. DeFelice and her husband, Michael, of Hatfield, PA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laraine Collins and her husband, William; and a brother, Clarence "Bud" Roberts. Doris' Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church of Valley Forge, 600 Walker Rd., Wayne, PA 19087 on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:30 am. The family will receive relatives and friends after her service in the church hall, where lunch will be served. Interment will be private.
