Dorothea K Blacker

Dorothea K. Blacker, age 93, of Wilmington peacefully passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was born on May 5, 1929 in Buffalo, NY to the late Theodore and Ruth Kuehn. Thea was a devoted member of her church. She worked as a nurse well into her seventies and continued to volunteer until her passing. She is preceded in death by her son, David.

Dorothea is survived by 4 children, Pamela Kazaba, Amy Baroch (John), Steve Blacker (Lori) and Sue Squires; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 on the way; a sister, Elizabeth Brady; and 2 brothers, Mark Kuehn and Richard Kuehn (Nancy).

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 1-2 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3003 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothea’s name may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or to Meals on Wheels (mealsonwheelsde.org).
