Dorothy E. Fraschetta

Dorothy E. (Gellespie) Fraschetta passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her home in the Swedeland section of King of Prussia, PA. She was 101. Dorothy was a member of Christ Church (Old Swedes) in Swedesburg, PA. She worked for the former General Electric Company for over 35 years. Dorothy was very active way into her 90’s. She loved her Upper Merion Football games every Friday night, as well as all the grandkids sports including soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, car racing and more. Dorothy enjoyed cross stitch, wallpapering, cleaning, crossword puzzles, find-a-word and reading the newspaper every day. She loved every minute and event she spent with her family. She never said No and was always ready to go anywhere with them. Dorothy was very proud that she was born, raised and lived her whole life in Swedeland.

Born in Swedeland, PA on July 6, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Gellespie; and the wife of the late Anthony “Tony” T. Fraschetta, Sr., who died in 1995. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Anthony Thomas “Tom” Fraschetta, Jr. and his wife, Patty; 2 daughters, Dorothy M. “Dot” Budka and her husband, Richard, and Judith “Judy” A. Fraschetta; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her dog, Nettie. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis E. Fraschetta; and 2 sisters, Helen Niblo and Eleanor Casey.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:15 to 10:15am, at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405; with her Memorial service beginning at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
