Dorothy E. (Armstrong) Hathcock

Dorothy Ellen (Armstrong) Hathcock passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown, PA. She was 87. Dorothy was a resident of Collegeville, PA. She worked at the Aircraft Factory, as a nurse for Johnson & Johnson, and she was a reading aid at the Thomas Mifflin School. Dorothy was well traveled and loved camping at the beach and mountains. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John Alexander Armstrong and Anna Marie (Bolger) Armstrong. She was the wife of the late Dallas McFadden Hathcock. Surviving are her loving family including her 3 children: Celeste and Raymond Arms of Collegeville, PA, Dalla Hathcock and Charles Martin of Oaks, PA and Dallas Hathcock and Diane Fulton of Wilmington, DE; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathrine Kerr of Levittown, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Allen Hathcock; a sister, Elizabeth Kelly; and her companion, Leonard Zayjac. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Lower Providence Community Library, 50 Parklane Dr, Eagleville, PA 19403.
