Dorothy G. Huffer Dorothy G. Huffer, 93 formerly of Norristown passed peacefully on November 9, 2017 at Lutheran Community at Telford . Dorothy was born in Norristown, PA on October 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Alice (Kramer) and Archie G. Gearhart. . She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur H. Huffer, and her daughter, Janet Suzanne Huffer. She served in the US Marine Corps as a Corporal in WW II. She worked as a Secretary at General Electric in King of Prussia, PA., for 13 Years before retiring in 1987. She had also worked for James Lees & Sons in Norristown and Associated Merchandising Corp. in New York City. She was a member of the Norristown Area Stroke Club, the Yesteryear Club in Kimberton, the Women Marines Association and the national chapter of the AARP. She was a graduate of Eisenhower HS, Pierce Business School and attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She was a longtime member of Norriton Presbyterian Church in Fairview Village, PA. Dorothy is survived by two sons: James H. Huffer, (Janet) of Gilbertsville, PA and Thomas A. Huffer, (Beth) of Quakertown, PA; Dorothy is also survived by a brother, Joseph Gearhart (Arleen) as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her interment will be private at the convenience of the Family in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, PA., on Friday, November 17.
