Dorothy M. Lucas

Dorothy M. (Kohlbraker) Lucas passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Lucas was a resident of the Montgomery County Assisted Living in Norristown, PA and was formerly of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a keypunch operator for the former America Screw Co. in Norristown, PA, Quaker Chemical in Conshohocken, PA, Memorex and GE, both of King of Prussia, PA. Dorothy graduated from Coal Township High School, located in Shamokin, PA in 1938. Born in Ephrata, PA on February 26, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Dr. George Kohlbraker and Bertha (Laver) Kohlbraker. She was the wife of the late Carl M. Lucas, who died in 1980. Surviving are her loving family including a son, James L. Waldschmidt and his wife, Jacqueline of Skippack, PA; a daughter, Nancy J. Fryer and her husband, Robert E. of Collegeville, PA; five granddaughters: Dara Lynn, Christine, Karen, Kimberly and Pamela; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther M. Orr of Norristown, PA, Elizabeth Collins of Somerville, South Carolina and Frances Ann Sepulveda and her husband, Richard of Hudson, Florida; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at St. Eleanor's Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 10:00am. Family will receive friends at the church, 9:00 to 9:45am.Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Hospital Hospice, 25 W.
