Dorothy Martin

Dorothy (Dot) Martin (nee Jackson), 76, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 peacefully at Temple University Hospital. Dot was the beloved wife of the late Jack Martin (1977) and the adored mother of Jack O’Shaughnessy of Cranford, NJ, Edward Martin of Philadelphia, PA, the late Thomas Martin (1992) and the late Michael Martin (2009). She is also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Ryan, Tommy and Edward Martin, Christina (Martin) Vidra, John and Robert O’Shaughnessy and 10 great grandchildren. Dot took great pride in her beautiful family, was an avid Eagles, Flyers and Phillies fan, loved to read, had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. She was active in her senior community center and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. To honor her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Dot will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held in her honor at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her sons to help with the arrangements.
