Dorothy M. Morris

Dorothy Morris of Collegeville Dorothy M. (Coonan) Morris, 83, of Collegeville died peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Phoenixville Hospital. She was married for over fifty years to the late Frank E. Morris. Born in Conshohocken on February 20, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Dougherty) Coonan. She was a graduate of Saint Matthew Catholic High School and a long-time member of Saint Eleanor Roman Catholic Church in Collegeville. She was a loving and beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who will be remembered for her kind spirit, gentle soul and deep faith. She is survived by three sons: Frank E., Jr. (Kathleen) of Eagleville; John of Limerick; and Stephen (Shannon) of Collegeville; three daughters: Carolyn Peterson (Michael) of Phoenixville; Joanne Borzillo (Phillip) of Norristown; and Barbara Morris of Collegeville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her sister Eleanor Connelly (Martin). In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son James William Morris who died on December 31, 2012, sister Margaret Maloney and infant granddaughter Madison O’Neill Morris. Dorothy’s funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Eleanor Church, Sixth and Locust Streets, Collegeville, PA on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10: 30 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:20 AM at the church. Interment will follow the mass in Limerick Memorial Gardens, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA.
