Dorothy I. (Peters) Sterrett

Dorothy I. (Peters) Sterrett passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. She was 99 years young. Mrs. Sterrett was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a manager for Stuart's Department Store. Dorothy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia, the King of Prussia Woman's Club, where she was a past president, and the King of Prussia Meals on Wheels. She was also a Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher, both in Milroy, PA. Dorothy also loved to garden. Born in Milroy, PA, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Cora A. (Romig) Peters. She was the wife of the late George E. Sterrett, who died in 1979. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Bonnie Sterrett and Susan Schubert, both of King of Prussia; three grandchildren: David and Josephine Schubert, Susan and Ed Russ and Heather and Mark Antonacio; four great-grandchildren: Ed, Jessica, Jeremy and Kaylee; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Robert Peters; and five sisters: Elva Pascoe, Sylvia Peters, Irene Mowery, Helen Peters and Kathryn Peters. Relatives and friends are invited to Dorothy's Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Her viewing is Monday from 10 to 10:50 am, at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00am in Woodlawn Cemetery in Milroy, PA.
