Dorothy A. Stevenson

Dorothy A. (Gallagher) Stevenson passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Arden Courts Assisted Living in King of Prussia, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Stevenson was a resident of Audubon, PA. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School and worked as a secretary for the Visiting Nurses Association. Dorothy was a very active member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Betzwood, PA. She was also a volunteer librarian for St. Teresa of Avila School and a member of the Adopted Mothers Club. Dorothy loved her family but especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Born in Bridgeport, PA on August 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Stella (Lester) Gallagher; and the wife of the late Andrew R. Stevenson, who died in 1995. Surviving is her loving family including 2 sons, Robert Stevenson and John Stevenson; a daughter, Diane Krauss; 4 grandchildren: Nicole and Andrew Stevenson and Frankie and Jacob Krauss; 2 step-grandsons, Sean and Scott Stuben; 2 nephews, Jim and Tom and 3 nieces: Eileen, Maureen and Colleen. She was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa O’Brien. Relatives & friends are invited to Dorothy’s viewing at the Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 6 to 8:00 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd., Audubon, PA on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Masks and social distancing are required.
