Dr. Lorraine Kligman

Dr. Lorraine Kligman, born on May 27, 1929, passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 95 in Philadelphia, PA. After raising her two sons, Lorraine pursued a doctorate in biology and went on to become a distinguished research scientist. With her keen intellect and unwavering commitment to advancing the field of biology, Dr. Kligman dedicated her career to disseminating her numerous studies' findings in publications and at academic conferences both here and abroad.

Lorraine was a woman of many passions, including painting, cooking, reading, traveling, and gardening. These hobbies brought great joy to her life and allowed her to express her creativity and love for the natural world.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Albert Kligman. Her legacy will live on through her family, survived by Keith, Laraine, Matthew, and Justin Lesnik; Robert and Sharon Lesnik; Gail Kligman; Michael, Leslie, Ian, and Annika Kligman; and Douglas, Sarah, Ben, and Hannah Kligman.

Her family and friends will remember her as a woman with an inquisitive mind and a generous heart, who nurtured a fruitful balance between her professional endeavors and her personal passions.
