Edith "Edie" Kirchner

Edith “Edie” Kirchner (nee Wittig) passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Suburban Woods Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Norriton, PA, with her beloved husband Paul Kirchner, by her side. She was 72. Edie lived in King of Prussia with her family for many years. She received a Dual Master’s degree in Education from Eastern University and Beaver College. She worked as a Professor at Eastern University. Edie loved Disney, enjoyed life, and especially going out to dinner with her husband.

Born on September 30, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Regina (Mandebaum) Wittig, Sr.

Surviving is her loving family including husband, Paul Kirchner; son, George Thomas Hartos and fiancé Raina Rigoli; daughter, Erin and spouse Eve Kirchner. She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Wittig, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to Edith’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt 202), Bridgeport PA on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday September 6, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 am.

Interment will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edith’s memory to the American Stroke Association at stroke.org or American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.
