Edith F. Shoemaker

Edith F. (Wentzel) Shoemaker passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 92. Mrs. Shoemaker was a resident of Norristown, PA, and was formerly of Wildwood, NJ. She was a member of Calvary Chapel of Norristown, and the Veterans Association. Edith was a homemaker whose favorite thing was raising her family. She also enjoyed going to the shore. Born in Frankfurt, Germany on February 2, 1927, she was the wife of the late John D. Shoemaker, who died in 1962. Surviving is her loving family including 2 sons, Daniel (Sheree) Shoemaker of Lancaster, PA and Douglass (Irene) Shoemaker of Leesburg, NJ; a daughter, Edith (Jim) Clevenstine of Norristown, PA; 8 grandchildren: Frank, Michael, Sheila, Bobby, Jessica, Tracey, Freda and Danielle; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Maryanne Strickland and Margaret S. “Susie” Fragale. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 9:30 to 11:20 am; with her Memorial Service starting at 11:30 am.
