Edward J. Bartoszek

Edward J. Bartoszek age 95 of Shannondell at Valley Forge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, September 2, 2024. Born on April 23, 1929, in New York Mills, NY to the late Joseph and Karolina (nee Kusiak) Bartoszek. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances J. (nee Pezdek); and a brother, Stanley Bartoszek.

Edward was a talented chemist whose distinguished career included 3 patents he received for work completed for NASA’s Enterprise and Endeavor space shuttles.

Edward, known for his love of family, is survived by 4 children, Edward of Bay City MI, Joseph (Cherie) of The Villages, FL, Michael (Lisa) of Limerick, PA, and Maryanne Scott (Harold) of The Villages, FL; 2 sisters, Genevieve Jerzyk, and Josephine Talarczyk; 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

While living at Shannondell, Ed met many wonderful friends and enjoyed spending time with them in billiards, travel and pinochle clubs. He loved sharing these experiences with his family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 8:45 to 9:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd., Audubon, PA 19403. Interment will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at St. Stanislaus & Casmir Cemetery in Whitesboro, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Edward’s name may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church, Trooper, PA or to The Asbury Foundation, Frederick, MD.
