Edward C. Kulak passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his residence in Collegeville, PA. He was 86.
Born on September 29, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Soltys) Kulak. Raised in the Manayunk-Wissahickon neighborhood, Edward attended Roxborough High School and Villanova University, graduating with a degree in Political Science in 1960. Edward then served in The US Army in West Germany during the 1960s Upon discharge, Edward worked for over 30 years as a Project Estimator for several engineering firms, including Stearns-Catalytic, United Engineers, Raytheon and the Washington Group, retiring in 2002. In 1972 he met his future wife Virginia while vacationing in her home town of Estoril, Portugal. Upon returning to Portugal in 1973, they were married and returned to Philadelphia as a couple where they had their only child, Antonio born in 1975. Edward enjoyed gardening, working on home projects, traveling with his family, and taking steam train rides with his son across the United States and Europe. Edward particularly loved his pets, always having a dog by his side, waiting for a snack or a pet on their head!
Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Virginia A. (Rodrigues) Kulak; a son, Antonio Kulak; and many other loving family and friends.
