Edward T. Diamond, 87, of Ambler, PA, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, December 24th, 2022, at Spring House Estates.
Edward was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 10, 1935, a son of the late Elizabeth (Coyne) and James J. Diamond.
He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline D. Diamond. Married for 47 years, she was the love of his life.
Edward graduated from Lasalle College High School and Philadelphia College of Textile and Science. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Dix. Edward was the President of Victor Dye Works in Port Richmond, PA, a textile company founded by his grandfather, William S. Diamond. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his beloved Pauline as well as photography, gardening, and traveling.
He was a loving father to his son, Myles C. Diamond II (Catherine Wetendorf) and daughter, Elizabeth C. Diamond (Patrick Grady). He is predeceased by his brothers, James J. Diamond, Myles C. Diamond, and Thomas J. Diamond.
All will remember him for his smile and kindness, he was loved and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to Edward's memorial service that will be held at Spring House Estates, 728 Norristown Road, Lower Gwynedd Township, PA 19002, on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances made be made to Abramson Cancer Center (University of Pennsylvania).
