Edward J. Finnerty

Mr. Edward J.  Finnerty, 77, of Tacony in Philadelphia passed away Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 while in the company of family members at his residence. Mr. Finnerty was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 18, 1933, the son of the late Edward J. and Margaret A. (Welsh) Finnerty.  He was a Night supervisor at Sears for 18 years and had worked for Sears for a total of 39 years.   He was a member of St. John Neumann Assembly, Holmsburg Knights of Columbus Council and an alumnae of Northeast Catholic High School and  a member of St. Leo the Great Church Phila., PA. Beloved Husband of Laura E. (nee Smith).  Loving Dad of Patricia Rosenberger (Barry) and Kathleen Green. Special Pop Pop of Rob, Leslie, Billy, Sean, Jessica, and Kristin, and Great Pop Pop of Jordan.  Dear Brother of Michael Finnerty (Mary) and Margaret Finnerty.   Family will receive Relatives & Friends Tuesday from 9:15 - 9:50 AM  at St. Leo the Great upper Church.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great upper Church Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 10 AM.  Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.
