Edward P. McKenna Jr., 70, of Tacony passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 surrounded by his family at his residence. Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 4, 1949, a son of the late Elizabeth McHenry and Edward Peter McKenna, Sr. Father of the late Luke and Michael and brother of the late William and the late Rosemary Scocca. He was a member of St. Leo's Church, the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #19, and a member of the AOH Division #39. Ed was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Reserves. He is survived by his children Edward P. III (Kim), Kevin, Rosemary Kelly (Tom), Stephen (Rachel) and Martin. Grandfather of Kyle, Taylor, and Calvin. Dear brother of Joseph “Artie”, Pat, Maureen, John, Robert, and Madeleine. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, March 9th from 6-8 PM at the Jason Lloyd Funeral Home (formerly Meyers) 6645 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA. His funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7056 Tulip St. Phila. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roman Catholic High School Alumni Association, 301 N. Broad Street, Phila., PA 19107. Services have been entrusted to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at www.meyersfh.com
