Edward Thomas Nugent    Edward Thomas Nugent, 63, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 16th, peacefully, at his residence. .   Edward was born in Phila., PA on October 16, 1950, a son of Antoinette Nugent, and the late Joseph  Nugent.   He was employed as a Truck Driver in the transportation Industry, and was a hard worker who always provided for his family.  He was funny, lovable and very knowledgeable and anyone who met him always stayed in contact.  He battled cancer for 40 years   He has been the Loving husband for 41 years of Karen Louise Johnson.  Beloved Father of Amy Johnson and devoted grandfather of Jackie, Joey, Sean, Christopher and Emily.  Dear Brother of Joseph, Carol, Joan, Catherine, Darlene, Diana, Thomas and Mary and the late Gary, John and Antoinette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "A Bridge to Healing" 3998 Red Lion Rd Suite 130 Phila, PA 19114.  This was requested by Eddie to help cover any costs for someone who needs help paying for treatment. Family will receive relatives and friends Monday 10-11 AM    at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135.   Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am. His Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA.
