Edward David Shapiro

Edward D., 78, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at his residence. Edward was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 19, 1939, a son of the late Pearl (Gruskin) and Bernard Shapiro. Loving brother of Janice Newman (Alan) and Alice Marks (the late Roy). Dear uncle of Dr. Michael Newman (Megan), Mark Newman (Suzanne), Paul Newman (Maury), Steven Marks (Dr. Simone) and Stephanie Marks. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Edward served in the U.S. Army, he owned a hardware store for many years in South Philadelphia and enjoyed the shore and boating.
