Edward F. Spencer, 93, of Fort Washington, PA, formerly of Jenkintown, passed away Thursday, June 17th, 2021, at Fort Washington Estates, in Montgomery County. Edward was born in Reading, PA on November 23, 1927, a son of the late Roselen (Nangle) and Edward A. Spencer. He was the widower of Mary K. (Keller) Spencer. Ed was a graduate of St. Joseph College and a veteran in the US Army. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Ed started the Spencer Insurance Co. in 1963, he was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church, where he was involved with Catholic charities, Meals on Wheels and was a daily Mass and Communicant attendee. Ed enjoyed gardening, fishing, golf and especially family time on vacations. Ed had a great sense of humor and was a true gentleman with an infectious smile. Beloved husband of the late Mary K. (nee Keller). Devoted father of Anne Doyle (Fran), Peggy Mlodzinski (John), Edward (Jayne), Charlie (Tammy), Tom (Diane), Joe, and Stephen (Kathy). Brother of the late Elizabeth Spencer, Marguerite McDermott, and Dorothy Simmons. Ed is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday morning 8:30 to 9:30 AM both at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046. His funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 602 West Ave. in Jenkintown.
