Eileen T. Murphy

Eileen T. (Hartnett) Murphy passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Shannondell in Audubon, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Murphy was a resident of Audubon, PA and formerly a resident of King of Prussia, PA, where she lived for 40 years. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church and a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church for many years. Eileen worked as a secretary for Upper Merion High School and in her spare time enjoyed volunteering, especially for Meals on Wheels in King of Prussia. Born in Manhattan, NY on August 18, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie (Riordan) Hartnett. Eileen is survived by her family including her loving husband of 68 years, William G. Murphy, Sr.; 3 sons: William Murphy, Jr. (Cecelia “Peggy”), Thomas Murphy (Betty), Mark Murphy (Amy Greer); 2 daughters, Regina Oplinger (John) and Theresa Betts (John); 7 grandchildren, Leigh Anne Lonergan (Sean), Brian Murphy (Rachel), Katie Murphy, Michael Oplinger, Amy Oplinger, Andrew Betts, and Kristin Betts; 4 great-grandchildren: Hadley Lonergan, Zoe Lonergan, William Porter Lonergan, and Tristan Lonergan; 2 sisters, Loretta Hearn (Frank) and Joan McConnell; as well as many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Hartnett. Funeral services and interment will be private for the family. Arrangements are by the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.
