Elayne Markey

Elayne Markey, 86, of Jenkintown, PA passed peacefully Sunday, September 5, 2021, at her residence. Elayne was born on December 28, 1934, daughter of the late Sarah (Joseph) and Benjamin Matza. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Sr. Loving mother of Jean McGeoy, George Markey, Hugh Schwartz and Jean Schwartz and the late Francis J. Markey Jr and Susan M. Connolly. She is survived by 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren and her brother Manny Matza. Elayne was a Black Belt in Judo and had competed in Japan and around the world. She was a CPU and was an avid bowler. She was also a member of the American Institute of Insurance. Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Monday September 20, 2021, at 11 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. Philadelphia PA 19150. Family will gather at the building inside the Cheltenham Ave. gate at 10:45 AM.
