Eleanor C. Glass

Eleanor C. Glass Mrs. Eleanor C. Glass, 99, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 at Delmar Gardens Retirement Community. Mrs. Glass was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 4, 1911, the daughter of the late John H. and Rachel (Groff) Meyers and sister of the late Walter J. Meyers, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William A. Glass.  They lived most of their married life in Conshohocken, PA before retiring to Florida.  After her husband’s death in 1995, Mrs. Glass moved to Lawrenceville, GA to be near her family.  She was a former member of St. Leo the Great Church Phila., PA and St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Conshohocken, PA  Mrs. Glass is survived by her daughter, Arlene Wilson (Thomas), and three grandsons Christopher, Jeffrey (Kareena) and Kevin (Amanda) Wilson.  She is also survived by 5 Great-Grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Cole, Cooper and Maddie Wilson, all of Georgia. The family would like to thank Crossroad’s Hospice for their loving care and attention during these last months.  A special thank you goes to her main caregiver, Mireille Dupervil for all of her time and devotion to Mrs. Glass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donation be made to Crossroads Hospice, Tucker, Georgia or Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Flowery Branch, Georgia. Relatives and Friends are invited to her viewing Thursday 9:30-10:30 AM at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Upper Church 11 AM.  Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, PA.
