Eleanor D. Hertzog

Eleanor D. (Cory) Hertzog of New Holland passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in the Summerfield Skilled Nursing Unit at Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA. She was 95. Eleanor lived most of her life in the King of Prussia area before moving to Garden Spot Village. She attended Springfield (Montgomery County) High School, graduating in 1945. She worked her entire career for the phone company Verizon. She worked in the drafting and engineering departments. Eleanor loved watching and attending Philadelphia Phillies games. She also loved working in her garden.

Born in Conshohocken, PA on August 15, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Metz) Cory. She was the wife of the late Walter Hertzog, who passed away in 2000. Surviving is her loving family including her sister, Anna Cressman of New Holland, PA; nephew, William A. Hunter, Jr. of New Holland, PA; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Cory and Mary Hunter.

Services will be private at Eleanor’s request.
