Eleanor D Jaremchuk

Eleanor D. Jaremchuk, age 86 of Wilmington passed away on Thursday, August 13th at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. Born and raised in Wilmington to the late Julian and Stella Sokolowski.  The love of her life and husband, Harry passed away on June 5, 2006 She was also preceded in death by her brother, Henry and her sister Irene Millione, both died in 2002 Eleanor loved her polish heritage and being a South Sider. She was a June 1947 Graduate of Wilmington High. After high school she worked at Wiltex and then Hercules until 1955. In 1967 she started working for St. Helena’s Church and was a dedicated secretary, retiring in 2002. Eleanor is survived by her loving daughter, Joanne Banner, wife of Edward, Loving grandmother to Emily Renee Palmer, Loving great grandmother to Aiden Joseph Palmer and Madelyn Grace Murphy. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Sugarman and the nurses at Seasons Hospice Family and Friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10 – 10:50 AM Tuesday, August 18th followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM at St. Helena’s Church 602 Philadelphia Pike Wilmington, DE 19809. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Helena’s Church Family and Friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10 – 10:50 AM Tuesday, August 18th followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM at St. Helena’s Church 602 Philadelphia Pike Wilmington, DE 19809.
