Eleanor R. (Ruser) Owens

Eleanor R. (Ruser) Owens passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 71. Mrs. Owens was a former resident of Collegeville, PA and Norristown, PA. She worked as a bookkeeper for Quest Diagnostics and also the former Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown. Eleanor was a member of St. Eleanor Church in Collegeville. Born in Norristown, PA on November 4, 1942, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Mary C. (Regan) Ruser. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Patrick J. Owens, III and his wife, Sharon, of E. Norriton, PA, Paul J. Owens and his wife, Lori, of Lower Providence, PA and Philip J. Owens and his wife, Jennifer, of Collegeville, PA; a daughter, Pamela J. Forster and her husband, Mark, of King of Prussia, PA; nine grandchildren: Patrick IV, Kimberly, Kelly, Gabrielle, Alexandra, Emily, Morgan, Mackenzie and Samantha; two brothers, Charles Ruser of Lower Providence, PA, and Martin Ruser and his wife, Jodi, of Royersford, PA; two sisters, Dorothy Swann of Norristown, PA and Joanne Ruser of Royersford, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by five brothers: John, Michael, Edward, Joseph and James; and two sisters, Mary Pigeon and Eileen Stoner.Relatives & friends are invited to Eleanor's Funeral Mass at St. Eleanor Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 am. Her viewing is Wednesday from 9 to 10:50 am, at the church.
