Eleanor L. Sarabun

November 9, 1921 — October 25, 2015

Eleanor Louise (Kutz) Sarabun passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Plush Mills in Wallingford, PA, at the age of 93. Mrs. Sarabun was a resident of Wallingford and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. After graduation from Upper Merion High School, Eleanor worked at the Bell Telephone Company before she married. Due to her husband’s Air Force career, she and her family moved to several states before settling in King of Prussia, where Eleanor worked at National Liberty Insurance Company. Eleanor was an active member of the Upper Merion Baptist Church and Upper Merion Lioness Club, as well as a volunteer at the Upper Merion Senior Center. During her lifetime, Eleanor became an outstanding golfer, bridge player and bowler. While residing at Plush Mills, she continued to enjoy playing bridge, knitting and participating in local events and tours. Born in Norristown, PA on November 9, 1921, she was the eldest daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Shirar) Kutz. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Lt. Colonel Charles C. Sarabun, and her sister, Jean Knoebel. She is survived by three children: Dr. Carol Sarabun and her husband, Paul Bacco, of Wilton, CT, Dr. Charles Sarabun and his wife, Sherri, of Rockhall, MD and Barbara Conan of Glen Mills, PA; three grandchildren: Meghan Conan, Jennifer Lipski and her husband, Rich and Matthew Bacco; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Anthony Navarro; and many other loving family members. Eleanor’s Graveside Service will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor’s memory to Upper Merion Baptist Church, 585 General Steuben Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tenn 38105.
