Elizabeth H. Cassidy

Elizabeth H. Cassidy, 95, of Ardsley, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Wyncote, PA.

Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Mary (Cavanaugh) and John B. Barr. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Cassidy Jr. She is also predeceased by a son, James J. Cassidy.

Elizabeth is survived by her three children: Elizabeth A. Sims (the Late John Jr.), Eileen M. Gilmour, Timothy Gilmour, and Thomas J. Cassidy III. She is also survived by four granchildren: Nathan and Lisa Sims, Katie and Michael Gilmour.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation between 10:00-10:30am, and to her religioius service at 10:30am, on August 3rd, 2024, both held at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA. Her interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Known to all as “Betty”, she was a dedicated caretaker to her four children, four grandchildren, husband, siblings and friends. She loved to watch sitcoms and old black and white movies. Her hobbies included bowling, summertime swimming, and square dancing. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, generous woman who gave her heart, her time, and dedication to all she saw in need. May she rest in peace.
