Elizabeth B. (Tarquini) Dougherty

Elizabeth B. "Betty" (Tarquini) Dougherty passed away suddenly on Monday, August 13, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. She was 76. Mrs. Dougherty was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as an office manager for the former Liberty Fire Protection in Bridgeport, PA. Betty was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA, the St. Augustine Ladies Guild, and she was a past treasurer of the Bridgeport Park & Rec. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, going to the casinos and the Eagles and Phillies. Betty loved her home "Blarney Patch" at Locust Lake in the Poconos, where she enjoyed countless hours with her husband, family and friends. Born in Shenandoah, PA on October 12, 1935, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Ditchey) Tarquini. She was the wife of the late John T. "Doc" Dougherty, Sr., who died in 2007. Surviving is her loving family including three daughters: Lisa M. Moletzsky and her husband, John, of Norristown, PA, Patrice E. DeStefano and her husband, James, of Phoenixville, PA and Brigit M. Quinn and her husband, Michael, of King of Prussia, PA; eight grandchildren: Rebecca, Amanda, Jessica, John Thomas, Shannon, Jarrett, Colleen and Jamie Lee; two great-grandchildren, Myah Grace and Noah Jason; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; best friend Molly Trainor; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a son, John T. Dougherty, Jr.; a grandson, Jason S. "Jake" Moletzsky USCG; a brother, Charles Tarquini; and a sister, Annette Rossetti.Relatives & friends are invited to Betty's Funeral Mass at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 am. Her viewings will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 and also Friday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Jason "Jake" S.
