Elizabeth B. Kern

Elizabeth B. (Bowman) Kern passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Parkhouse Nursing & Rehab in Royersford, PA. She was 103. Mrs. Kern was a former resident of Bridgeport, PA. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University and worked as a teacher for the Trooper School, Eisenhower Elementary and Hancock Elementary. Born in Bridgeport, PA on December 13, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Elizabeth (Royal) Bowman; and the wife of the late Jesse F. Kern. Surviving is her loving family including 2 sons, Philip E. (Sharon) Kern and Charles R. (Wendi Trainor) Kern; 1 grandson, Joseph Kern; 2 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Carol (Russ) Kehler. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bowman. Relatives and friends are invited to Elizabeth’s Graveside Service at Riverside Cemetery, 200 S.
