Elizabeth L. Leary Elizabeth L. Leary, 99, formerly of Willow Grove, passed away on Sunday, August 12th, 2018 peacefully, at Park Creek Place. Elizabeth was born in Abington, PA on April 27, 1919, a daughter of the late Catherine (Stanton) and John Dougherty. She graduated from Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was the widow of John J. Leary, Jr. who passed in 1993.She was a member of St. David Church in Willow Grove, PA. She was a Registered Nurse at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA., until retiring at age 65.Elizabeth was a Member of the Nurses Alumnae and was active in the Auxiliary Board at Abington Memorial Hospital. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Mary Kelly and Eileen Robinson, and a son, John Leary. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. She was one of eight siblings, all of whom predeceased her. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing from 8:15 to 9:15 AM on Saturday, August 18th at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, Inc. in Jenkintown, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 18th at St. David’s Church in Willow Grove, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. David’s Church 316 Easton Rd. Willow Grove, PA 19090 or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Her Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
