Elizabeth "Betty" Ray

Elizabeth “Betty” Rose (Riebsame) Ray passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center in Royersford, PA. She was 95. Betty was a devout Catholic who attended St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Manayunk, PA and had a true devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a homemaker who always took care of everyone else. Betty was lovingly referred to as “Baby Grandmom” by her beloved grandchildren and enjoyed her family trips with them to Wildwood Crest, NJ.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on March 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Riebsame. Betty was the wife of the late Robert R. Ray who passed away in 2010. Surviving is her loving family including her daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Ferguson of King of Prussia, PA; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer (Chad) Hoffman, Ian Ferguson, Zachary Ferguson, and Shannon Ferguson; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by a son, Robert T. “Tom” Ray; 4 brothers and a sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to Betty’s viewing at Mother of Divine Province Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 9:30am to 10:45am, with her Funeral Mass starting at 11:00am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham Twp., PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
