Elsie Elizabeth Mutschler

Elsie Elizabeth Mutschler returned to the presence of her Heavenly Father on the morning of December 3, 2022, she was 80 years old. She was the cherished wife of Robert “Bob” Mutschler, the most wonderful mother of Robert Jr “Rob” and Micah, the most wonderful mother in “love” of Micah’s wife Angela “Angi”, and treasured grandmother of Max and Miette.. Born and raised in Easton, PA by William “Bill” Tresize and Elizabeth “Janie” Tresize (née Naugle) , Elsie attended Wilson High School, where she met the love of her life, Bob Mutschler. The couple dated all through high school and eventually married in 1966. Though she was highly recognized in high school for her artistic talent, she deferred pursuing a career in visual arts to focus on starting a family, a calling she took great love and pride in as she raised her two sons in Boyertown, PA.

Elsie and Bob opened Mutschler’s Florist and Rare Plants in Birdsboro, PA in 1987. It was in the floral and gift shop portion of the business, that she showcased her artistic talent and a passion for crafting by creating beautiful floral designs for numerous weddings, funerals, and many other occasions for family, friends, and community neighbors and selling some of her handmade ceramics, quilts, dolls, and other crafts.

She was an active member of Cedarville United Methodist Church in Pottstown for 45 years where she shared her gift of singing as a member of the choir.

In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Elsie is survived by her brother William “Bill” Tresize Jr., sister in law Sally Tresize, and many cousins from the Naugle side of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert “Bobby” Tresize.

Family and friends are invited to join a celebration of Elsie’s life to be held at Cedarville United Methodist Church in Pottstown, PA on Saturday, January 14th 2023 at 11:00am.
