Elwood S. Binck

Elwood S. Binck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 86. Mr. Binck worked as a facilities planner for the former G.E. Company in King of Prussia, PA for 37 years, until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Hope Community Church and an active 20 year life member of Lafayette Ambulance, both in King of Prussia. Mr. Binck was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WW II. He served as a sergeant from 1945 to 1946, in the 13th Troop Carrier Squadron in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. Born in Schenectady, NY on December 21, 1926, he was a son of the late Arthur S. and Ethel R. (Sauter) Binck. He was the husband of the late Gertrude A. (Besser) Binck, who died in 1999. Surviving is his loving family including three sons: Jeffrey A. Binck of King of Prussia, PA, Christopher S. Binck and his wife, Diane, of Valley Forge, PA and Brian D. Binck and his wife, Lizanne, of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Jennifer L. Lowe and her husband, Jeffrey, of the Netherlands; nine grandchildren: David, Matthew, Daniel, Joseph, Samantha, Peter, Grace, Amanda and Shannon. Relatives and friends are invited to Elwood's Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 am. His viewing will be on Monday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of the family.
