Emidio A. Rosa

Emidio A. Rosa, formerly of Bridgeport, PA, went peacefully to heaven to join his wife, Theresa, on January 18, 2016, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Rosalia and Michael Rosa on January 3, 1924, Emidio was married for 69 years to Theresa (Urbano) Rosa of Bridgeport, PA. He resided in Bridgeport for many years before moving with his wife to Villa St. Martha in Downingtown, PA and then later to Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. He was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and spent 47 years as a mechanic for SEPTA. Never missing a day of work in 47 years, he was voted by his peers as employee of the century for his dedication and work. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Rosa of East Fallowfield, PA and David Rosa of Eden Prairie, MN. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalia and Michael Rosa; a sister, Mary (Rosa) Hojnacki; and wife, Theresa (Urbano) Rosa. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport PA at 10 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2016.
