Emma Rita Nyce

Emma R. Nyce, 93, of Collegeville, passed on August 9, 2021. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Jonathan Nyce, Jr. for 69 years. Loving mother of Dr. Jonathan W. Nyce, David S. (Gwen), Michael W. (Candy) and Richard J. (Denise). She was one of 13 children of the late Frank and Anna (Gogola) Dusza. Survived by her sister Frances Hunsberger (Bob) and sisters-in-law Henrietta Dusza and Mary Lou Dusza. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Emma’s family has been her main interest for her entire life. She was a leader in the scouting organization, being the first woman to receive the St. George award. She liked to crochet, was an avid dancer, tennis player, and author of a children’s book: The Adventures of Shadow the Dog. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave, Trooper, PA 19403. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021, 10:00 AM at Visitation BVM Church 196 N. Trooper Rd, Norristown, PA 19403. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Norristown, PA.
