Emmy A. Hochwind

Emmy "Oma" A. (Brennauer) Hochwind passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was 81. Mrs. Hochwind was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and homemaker. Emmy later worked as an assembly worker for Extra Corporeal in Bridgeport, PA and the Sheraton in King of Prussia, PA. She was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA and the Upper Merion Seniors in King of Prussia, PA.Born in Peiting, Germany on January 1, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Sebastian and Veronica Brennauer. Emmy was the wife of the late Friedrich "Fred" Hochwind, who passed away in 2005.Surviving are her loving family including two sons, William F. Hochwind of Phoenixville, PA and Steven R. Hochwind and his wife, Debbie of Chalfont, PA; a daughter, Angelica E. Girone and her husband, Charles of Langhorne, PA; 9 grandchildren: Katrina, Jennifer, William, Jason, Danielle, Michael, Steven, Stephanie and Brittany; 2 great-grandchildren, Dean and Kaden; a sister, Thea Thieme and her husband, Wolfgang of Munich, Germany; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by 7 sisters.Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 10:30am. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, pastor. Her viewing will be Friday morning 9 to 10:20am, at the church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion Twp., PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Emmy's memory to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
