Eric Randle Feltyberger

Eric Randle Feltyberger of Jenkintown died suddenly on September 7, 2016 at age 43. Eric was born in Abington, PA on April 11, 1973 to Mary Butash and Earl Feltyberger. He moved to Jenkintown, PA from Philadelphia in 1979. He graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School and Jenkintown High School. Throughout his life he held a variety of jobs that gave him many amazing skills, but his one true calling was being a volunteer firefighter. He joined Pioneer Fire Company in Jenkintown as a junior firefighter. He spent the rest of his years running to the firehouse as soon as the siren blew, and was a lieutenant at Pioneer at the time of his death. Eric died on September 7, 2016 due to a fall from a third story balcony. He is survived by his mother Mary Butash, father Earl Feltyberger, stepmother Judy Schmidt, sisters Laura and Jennifer Feltyberger, brother-in-law Gus Rodriguez, aunts Ann Butash, Joan Blum, Colleen Braccia and uncle Peter Blum. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters at Pioneer Fire Company who have always taken care of him. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday evening September 15, 2016 from 7-9 PM at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046 and are also invited to a viewing on Friday September 16, 2016 at Grace Presbyterian Church, York and Vista Roads, Jenkintown, PA 19046 from 9-9:45 AM, followed by a service at 10 AM. His interment will be in Hillside cemetery.
