Ernest A. Hamer age 72 of Audubon, PA passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in his home. Born in Chester, PA on August 25, 1952 to the late Ernest A. and Kathleen (nee Crist) Hamer Jr. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Jennie May Peifer. He is survived by his wife, Jamie J. Rambo; daughter, Jacqueline R. Hamer (Herb Rhoads); and a step-mother, Betty Hamer.
Ernie was employed as an underground utility worker and had been self-employed as a general contractor. When retired, he held a part time job at the local hardware store, helping customers with their selections. He was attentive to detail when helping those on a project, especially with his expertise.
Ernie’s favorite place to be was at the shore, especially Cape May, NJ. He loved the sea so much, he became a SCUBA instructor along with his Father. Ernie was a handyman and often you could find him tinkering in his workshop or dabbling in wood working. He spent most of his time with his immediate family, whether on vacation or around the house. When younger, you could find him picking on one of his guitars, jamming out to classic rock. Ernie was charismatic and outgoing, making friends everywhere.
He is dearly missed by those who loved him; services will be held privately.
