Esther M. (Kohlbraker) Orr

Esther M. (Kohlbraker) Orr passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Norristown, PA. She was 91. Mrs. Orr graduated from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and worked as private practice nurse. She then worked as a tip staff person for the Montgomery County Court House in Norristown, PA.Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 21, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Dr. George H. and Bertha A. (Laver) Kohlbraker. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Orr, Sr., who died in 1984 and was a former council president and councilman for over 30 years for the Boro of Norristown. She was also the wife of the late George J. Buza, PHC, who was killed at Pearl Harbor at the start of WWII. Surviving are her loving family including a son, F. Andrew "Drew" Orr and his wife, Kim of Norristown, PA; a daughter, Carol (Orr) Hughes of Gratersford, PA; three grandchildren: Melissa (Hughes) Cody, Francis A. Orr, III and Daniel Orr; one great-grandson, Sean Cody; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Collins of SC and Frances Sepulveda of FL; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy M. "Dot" Lucas.Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Esther's memory to the Montgomery Hospital Hospice, 25 W.
