Ethel C. Flinn

Ethel C. (Taylor) Flinn passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill in Lafayette Hill, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Flinn was a resident of Lafayette Hill and was previously of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as an administrative assistant in the guidance office at the Upper Merion High School during the 1970’s. She also volunteered with the United Service Organizations (USO’s). Ethel was an officer and ‘Woman of the Year’ with the AARP in King of Prussia. She was a very active member of the Upper Merion Senior Center and was later involved with the Civic Center in the area. Ethel enjoyed playing in area bowling leagues and bridge groups and playing cards with friends. She was a social butterfly who loved spending time with her friends. Born in Lansdowne, PA on July 13, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George and Ethel (Child) Taylor. She was the wife of the late Clarence S. “Larry” Flinn, who died in October of 2016. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Bruce (Sharon) Flinn of Pocono Summit, PA; two daughters, Rhonda Flinn Thomas of King of Prussia, PA and Denise (Barry) Fromberg of Plano, TX; six grandchildren: Ashley W. Thomas, Kimberly B. (John) Bragg, Alona (Jason) Finch, Jessica (Ian) Simpkinson, Dr. Caitlin (Brent) Bennyhoff and Shaun Flinn; four great-grandchildren: Emerson L. Finch, Carson L. Finch, John Braxton Bragg, Jr. and Kieran R. Bennyhoff and soon to be born, Kendall Bragg. She was preceded in death by a brother, George C. Taylor. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
