Evelyn C. (Durso) Cavaliere

Evelyn C. (Durso) Cavaliere passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Cavaliere was a crossing guard for the Upper Merion Area School District for 12 years, until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bridgeport, PA, where she was an annual feast worker and a member of the Church's Congrega. Evelyn was also a member of the Upper Merion Senior Center. Born in Wayne, PA on May 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Maffei) Durso. She was the wife of the late Pasquale A. Cavaliere, who died in 1984. Surviving is her loving family including a son, David J. Cavaliere and his wife, Christine, of King of Prussia, PA; a granddaughter, Jessica M. Cavaliere of King of Prussia, PA; a brother, Joseph Durso and his wife, Gloria, of Phoenix , AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fred and Mario Durso; and 2 sisters, Carmella Simonelli and Kelly DiSipio.Relatives & friends are invited to Evelyn's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 10:00 am. Her viewing will be Thursday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or Kitty Kottage, 317 W.
