Ferdinando L. “Fred” Roberto Sr. was stricken at home and passed away suddenly on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Suburban Community Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 65. Mr. Roberto was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a Lead Sales Consultant for John Kennedy Ford Mazda in Conshohocken, PA, and formerly owned Ferdinando’s Pizzeria in Whitpain, PA. Fred was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was previously a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. He had a band called Freddie Ford and the Fairlanes and he played guitar and did vocals. Fred was an avid collector of guns, guitars, hats and many other things. He had great love and pride in his children and grandchildren. Fred was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Born in Norristown, PA on June 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Mary J. (Moffa) Roberto. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 10 years, Roxanne (Syester) Roberto; a son, Freddy “Ferdinando” Louis Roberto, Jr. of Bridgeport, PA; two daughters, Christina A. Lewiski and her husband, Peter, of King of Prussia, PA and Stefanie Roberto of King of Prussia, PA; a step-daughter, Shelby Mastrocola of Bridgeport, PA; four grandchildren: Jordan, Ava, Cora and Joseph; a sister, Michele A. Cantrell and her husband, Richard, of King of Prussia, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen (Venezia) Roberto, who died in 2001. Relatives & friends are invited to Fred’s Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am. His viewings are Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm, and Friday morning from 8:15 to 9:15 am, both at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s memory to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.
